Little By Little

Today we hiked a big mountain. The beginning was so easy but when we went about a mile in, I started getting tired.  By the time we reached the water fall we thought the hike down was worth it  because of the breathtaking water fall, and you could swing into a pool of water by a rope. I forgot about the hike up to the car and how hard it would be because of all the roots, rocks, tree branches, and the mud. The dirt that marked the path was quite slippery making us trip and slide down parts of the hill. Also the only way to get down was to clime down a rope or jump off a  tall pile of rocks  that supported you until you got down the ground. There is a funny video of me climbing down the rocks to the ground.

As we started up the hill I got tired easily and felt like I couldn’t go any more further. Dad gave me my water bottle and I drank all of it. I felt I had a little more energy so I could go a little further. My dad kept on telling me that no matter how slow I went, I just had to keep on moving and I would eventually get to the car.  My dad let me have some banana bread because the rest of the  group had the trail mix. after a long, tiring  hike I made it to the hot car. I now know that no matter how big what you’re  trying to accomplish if you go little by little no matter how slow you go you will make progress and eventually finish.
