There have been lots of firsts on this trip, including unpasteurized milk fresh from Austrian Alps dairy cows.
The milk tastes pretty similar to the milk we usually drink. The only difference was it was warmer and had yellow fat or cream, I’m not sure which, floating at the top. Our AirBnB host also provided homemade butter from her cows, homemade grape jam, and homemade bread. Verbal appreciation of this meal didn’t seem to do it justice, so we yodeled our approval.
