Praha

We are in Prague (Praha as it’s called by the locals) for the week while my dad is working. It is a beautiful city and there is so much to see… and to eat.

Every single brightly colored building seems to end in a point, and music is always playing.

The Czech Republic is a big change from Italy. For starters, people actually wear shorts there! In Italy, it seems like everyone is always dressed to impress a the time, and wearing shorts, sweatpants, or basically anything that isn’t dress clothes marks you as a tourist. There are also parks here. We decided that the U.S. lacks statues in their parks, while Europe lacks playground equipment. Prague has proved us wrong! We saw two playgrounds on our walk yesterday.

The third difference is the language. In Italy, my dad was able to get us through because he could at least speak a little Italian. Unfortunately, none of us speak a lick of Czech. Fortunately, most people we’ve talked to speak English, so it’s been all right. Prague is beautiful!
