Day #1

Today I woke up early, excited for our big trip to Europe. I was so excited because it was actually happening. Before we went, Anne, my second youngest sister, had to go to the dentist to get fillings. On the way to the airport, we saw a big crash. A pickup truck had run into a white car and the white car was stuck in the trees. When we arrived at the airport my dad realized that our flight had changed and took off early. Luckily the ticket manager helped us get a new and shorter flight to Italy. Sadly we did not get to go to the United Kingdom, but we went to Amsterdam instead. When we finally finished the seemingly never ending nine hour flight to Amsterdam we all felt ready to go to bed, but we had another three hour flight to Rome. Even though I fell asleep on the plane, I was still exhausted. Eventually we arrived at our apartment and Maddie, my youngest sister, went straight to bed. The nice lady who let us use her apartment, talked a lot. I fell asleep before she finished talking and slept peacefully the rest of the night.
