Vesuvius which still erupts! I thought the volcano might explode while I climbed it! First, we drove up an exceeding amount of winding roads. Next, we took a shuttle up about 1 1\/2 kilometers. Then, we hiked up Mt. Vesuvius and looked in the hole of the volcano. The hole had some smoke billowing out but, it wasn&#8217;t as much as we hoped to see. Dad, Owen, and I went to see some other sides of the hole while Mom, Jackie, and Maddie stayed on the other side to take a brake. Then we hiked back down and waited until the shuttle arrived.
